About Randy Hammer

Hammer is a University of West Florida graduate and former executive editor of the Pensacola News Journal, a two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist and was twice named Gannett Company's Editor of the Year.

Hammer left the News Journal in 2006 to take the position of vice president at the Louisville Courier-Journal in Louisville, Ky. In 2008, he became president of the Asheville Citizen Times in Asheville, N.C.
