Shannon Ogletree
Director
Santa Rosa County Economic Development Office
Shannon Ogletree has spent more than two decades transforming ideas into action, building a prosperous and resilient Santa Rosa County. As the Director of the Santa Rosa County Economic Development Office, he leads initiatives that attract businesses, create high-paying jobs, and strengthen the community's economic foundations.
From championing and shepherding partnerships like the Whiting Aviation Park—a unique collaboration with the U.S. Navy—to overseeing infrastructure projects, including the Milton Interchange Park, Shannon’s work underscores his belief that economic development is a collaborative effort and that persistence drives success.
Under his leadership, the county has secured numerous grants and forged strong ties with local, state, and federal partners, making it a beacon for industries ranging from aerospace to advanced manufacturing.
Shannon believes that local companies and existing businesses play a critical role in attracting new companies and encouraging entrepreneurship. During his tenure, Santa Rosa County developed the StRIVE Grant Program, which revitalizes local storefronts, signage, and parking areas. He also led the effort to partner with the Florida Small Business Development Office and expand their services to Santa Rosa County companies.
As an enthusiastic advocate for community-focused development, Shannon is passionate about blending growth with quality of life, ensuring Santa Rosa remains a place where businesses thrive, and families flourish.
