Dan Flynn
Interim Airport Director
Pensacola International Airport

Though not born in Pensacola, Daniel Flynn considers himself a lifelong resident of the area, with his family moving here when he was all of 3 years old. Growing up in Cordova Park instilled a particular fondness for the area around the Pensacola Airport. Dan remembers spending many a day in his youth walking through the wooded Airport property south of Summit Boulevard and watching aircraft come and go. Given his interest in aviation, he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aviation Management from Auburn University in 1988 and returned to Pensacola to pursue a Masters of Business Administration Degree from the University of West Florida, which he subsequently obtained in 1991. It was during his time at the University of West Florida that he successfully applied for an internship at the Pensacola Regional Airport, starting in August of 1989. During his 26 years with the Pensacola Airport, he has served in various capacities, from intern, to Contracts Administrator, to Manager of Properties and Development, to Asst. Airport Director for Operations, and currently Interim Airport Director. He is married and presently lives in Santa Rosa County with his wife of 26 years, Norma Flynn, DVM, with their two horses, four cats and multitude of honeybees. In his spare time, he is an avid skydiver having made thousands of jumps over the last 30 years.
