During this Chat Series, we will review and analyze the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 which was recently enacted and contains tax provisions that will affect individuals and businesses. The new legislation includes the enhanced Section 179D (Green Building Deduction) and could significantly reduce the tax liability for building owners and some building designers including design/build contractors, architects, and engineers. We will discuss the enhanced Section 179D, and how to incorporate the new legislation and other planning ideas into your year-end tax planning strategy.

Scott Warren joined Warren Averett in 2002 and is a Member of the Firm’s Tax Division. He has more than 22 years of experience in the field of public accounting and is responsible for supervising and managing corporate, individual and partnership taxation, as well as business and individual tax consulting for his clients. Scott is also involved with teaching continuing professional education courses to Members of the Firm and speaks at trade associations such as the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP). Scott resides in Pensacola with his wife and three children.
