Mark Faulkner, President and CEO of Baptist Healthcare, will provide an update on the overall new hospital campus progress as well as provide insight into their plans for the redevelopment of their current campus on Moreno St.

Mark Faulkner is President and Chief Executive Officer of Baptist Health Care, the area’s only not-for-profit health system that is based in, led and governed right here in Northwest Florida. Baptist Health Care includes three hospitals, four medical parks, Andrews Institute for Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine, a large network of primary care and specialty physicians, and is a proud member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network. With over 4,400 team members, Baptist is one of the largest non-governmental employers in Northwest Florida.
Mark has more than 29 years of health care leadership experience and has been with Baptist since 1993 when he joined the team as an administrative resident. He has served as administrator of Jay Hospital, president of Baptist Hospital, and senior vice president and chief operating officer of Baptist Health Care prior to being named to the role of president and CEO in 2012, only the fourth in the organization’s history.
Mark is past-chairman of the Florida Hospital Association Board of Trustees and has been named to the Florida Trend list of the top 500 most influential Floridians for the past four consecutive years. He was honored by The Greater Pensacola Area Chamber of Commerce as a 2013 PACE Award recipient for Business Leader of the Year and has been recognized many times on the Inweekly Power List.
Mark earned his master’s degree in health administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama.
Mark has dedicated his entire career to this community he has always called home, and currently serves as the Chair of the Achieve Escambia Leadership Council. He considers himself a blessed individual and believes in using his blessings for good, by serving others.
