Presenter: Scott Warren, CPA
Tax Member, Warren Averett, LLC

President Trump signed the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 (TCJA) into law on December 22, 2017, marking the largest change to U.S. tax policy since the 1980's. With most of the provisions already in effect, it’s important that real estate and construction executives are aware of the changes to better understand the impact to their companies. During the chat, Scott will discuss the latest legislative updates pertaining to the new law affecting the real estate and construction industries.

Scott Warren joined Warren Averett in 2002 and is a Member of the Firm’s Tax Division. He has more than 19 years of experience in the field of public accounting and is responsible for supervising and managing corporate, individual and partnership taxation, as well as business and individual tax consulting for his clients. Scott is also involved with teaching continuing professional education courses to Members of the Firm and speaks at trade associations such as the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) and the Home Builders Association. Scott resides in Pensacola with his wife and three children.

The What’s Up! Chat Series is an educational program which connects our membership with local experts and community leaders in an informal setting. This format creates a unique opportunity for speaker and audience to understand an issue’s impact on commercial real estate and the community as a whole.
